Lilah

a Historical Christian Romance Novel

Forgive, and you’ll be forgiven.

How can death, betrayal, a rash proposal, and revenge lead to romance?

An abusive controller—ex-brother-in-law, new husband, uncle-stepfather—compels reluctant travelers—his brother’s widow and daughter–westward. To escape his abuse, Lilah proposes marriage to the wagon train scout, which only leaves Padraig thinking she’s a bit soft in the head. It’s 1855. Come join the journey along the Oregon Trail with Lilah. Wagon Ho!

I really loved this book! Lilah is a precocious almost 16 year old that speaks her mind. She has been forced to travel with her pregnant mom & lecherous stepdad. How things work out is a delight and a great example of how the Holy Spirit works.

Caryl McAdoo has created a story that allows the reader to escape into the days of wagon trains along with the joys, dangers, and adventures associated with traveling west. From the first page, I was hooked. In this book, His grace overcomes revenge, hatred, and betrayal in a unique way only God could create.

There is no way I can adequately give the credit due to this story except to encourage you to read it to find out if a HEA is ever reached. Grab a few tissues, find a comfy chair and settle in to read this outstanding story.
