Kentucky Bride by Caryl McAdoo

Kentucky Bride

a Historical Christian Romance Novel

Book 8

In this world, you will have tribulation.

In 1861, a tragic war fell upon America’s United States, dividing them North against South. Some might say a young woman can’t be too fussy when almost every unattached young man is off fighting, but that shouldn’t mean the daughter of a Union man has any excuse for canoodling with a Rebel. Still, eighteen-year-old Gigi longed for true love, and the dashing Texas Ranger turned Kentucky Confederate vies for her heart. How will they overcome the odds and a war to be together? A Civil War indeed, such an oxymoron!

This is a charming story about two young people meeting during the Civil War. Her father & brothers are fighting for the North. He is a Texas Ranger fighting for the South. Love at first sight is complicated. I loved it.

Hard to put this clean, Christian love story down. Love, struggles, war and strength. In this book history came to life.

The author has penned a heart warming and fun story of a couple who must overcome all odds to arrive at love during the Civil War. In the wonderful style of Caryl McAdoo, the couple’s faith will play a big part in their lives. This was a very enjoyable story and I highly recommend it. It is one of those feel good stories that will keep you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next.

Caryl McAdoo has written a delightful historical Civil War Christian romance entitled Kentucky Bride. I appreciate that even though much of the subject matter dealing with the Civil War is horrendous that this book is a nice, light read. More than once I found myself chuckling as I read.
