A patron of the Lowell house has been murdered. Morgan tells his wife to leave the mystery alone – and let the police solve it. Does Charity listen? NO. I loved how the author dropped lots of little breadcrumbs along the way so that the readers could try and make their guesses.

McAdoo’s first mystery is a winner. A perfect blend of romance and mystery, it takes place at the Lowell House hotel owned by Morgan and his wife Charity. One of the patrons has been murdered, and Morgan is sure he knows who the murderer is, but how to prove it?

There is a mystery to solve at the Lowell House, but knowing the answer and proving it are two different things. The owner of the hotel, Morgan and his wife Charity, with Deputy Tate McCarthy set out to do just that. I love how Mrs. McAdoo tells this story without revealing too much at once.
