This book is a sweet romance. One based on values I was raised with. I love how the love of a woman brought change. Truly, a page turner. I loved all of the characters especially the housekeeper for Jacob. You will be blessed if you read this love story.

This book got my attention on the first page and kept it until the last. I loved Lydia and Jacob’s story. They both had issue to work through. Both Lydia and Jacob had suffered loss and need to heal. I loved their friendship and how it developed into romance.

Read this story TWICE it was so good! It’s a sweet, delightfully delicious story about values, dating relationships, and love back in the days just after the Civil War ended. It’s well-written, delves into the psyches of the characters, and leaves the reader feeling as if we’ve had a wonderful visit.
